HELLO ALL ^______________^ it's been a while.

So. The story that I'm about to tell is probably my highlight of the month (...which is so lame. How can something like this be the highlight of my month?)

I had a good day in Gandaria City with Tara. We had a fun time, watched Les Miserables, ate sushi, even got a chance to see the local boyband Coboy Junior (IQBAAAL). Tara already went home, and I thought I suddenly had a craving for some takoyaki so off I went to go buy some.

I ordered and waited for the takoyaki to be made. Next to me were two old guys, probably in their mid 50s. The guy making the takoyaki added some sauce and mayo into the takoyaki (it was an open place so while waiting we could watch the people make our food). The two people beside me started having a conversation. Nothing was out of the ordinary if they weren't having the conversation in japanese lol.

It's probably normal, seeing foreign people in your country. This wasn't my first time seeing a Japanese either, ofc. But what I found amusing was that this was Japanese people ordering Japanese food in another country, lol. They had a pretty long conversation, and with my limited Japanese I could hear bits of them commenting on how the takoyaki was made, how small the takoyaki were etc and I was like 'should I say something to them should I say something to them I wanna talk hmmmmmmmmh' because we were like right next to each other and they already caught me smiling and laughing by myself anyways and I waited for the right timing to and I was like fuck this shit orz so I said

"すみません、日本人ですか?”
Sumimasen, nihonjin desuka?
Excuse me, are you Japanese? (which is pretty dumb because DUH they were speaking it)

”はい!そうです。”
Hai! Sou desu.
Yes! I am.

”ああ、そうですね。東京から?”
Aa, sou desu ne. Tokyo kara?
Aaah. From Tokyo?

“いいえ、大坂 から!”
Iie, Osaka kara!
No, Osaka!

I had to process that a bit. Osaka? .........These guys were buying takoyaki. Takoyaki is sort of... a specialty of Osaka (something like that? or originated from there? idk sorry) .There was always an inside joke that Osaka people loved takoyaki so much they ate it everyday. And then I went all "OH! Oooooooooh." and I started pointing and laughing at the takoyaki like the idiot I am orz

And the japanese guys got really excited that I understood that inside joke and they were like "HAI! HAI! SOUUUU." Which meant yes yes that!!!!! orz.

I asked them about the weather in Osaka, is it cold? And I proceeded to tell them I was going to tokyo next month and how the weather was there too. Overall it was a dumb conversation and pointless, lol. I was going to tell them to enjoy Indonesia or something but all the nihongo stored in my mind kind of vanished? Yeah.

But anyway it was kind of fun and wild ^_^ #whatever
